It’s a concept that’s quickly becoming a reality, as retailers like Amazon begin offering next-day and grocery delivery to customers. According to Packaging World, the online sales of grocery products is predicted to grow to $18 billion by year-end 2018. Analysts predict that online grocery sales will grow at a CAGR of 21.1% between 2013 and 2018.
As more retailers begin rolling out grocery delivery services, product protection remains an important function of packaging.
